My gorgeous friend and super talented designer Juanita Field hosted an incredible French inspired afternoon of arts and crafts. This was a special day in preparation for the upcoming launch of her new business which is still in the works (but I will keep you posted when it's all up and running).

We feasted on cheese, baguettes, croissants and champagne while we made pieces at allocated workstations for each project. There was hand sewing felt macarons and hearts - confusing when the macarons looked identical to the edible ones! A fun highlight was constructing our own paper pom poms, which I'm looking forward to using as party decorations. Then the ever popular bunting was recreated in felt flags and paper doily versions which was so simple but clever. We also showcased our calligraphy and typography skills on individual chalkboards, using as many French phrases as we could remember from our high school lessons.

Merci beaucoup Juanita, c'était un expérience inoubliable! (Thank you very much Juanita, it was an unforgettable experience! - I confess that I had to google this one)
