I am constantly scrolling through photos of my European trip and reliving all the beautiful memories. While sightseeing and cultural activities are important, it is the cuisine that is a big part of the travel experience. Here is a snapshot look at some of the delicious meals I had across Greece, Croatia and England. There was enjoyment with every bite but I have to say my heart (and appetite) is devoted to the Greek way of eating.
Every day I would order the taverna staples of village salad, tzatziki, wild greens, tirokafteri, fried zucchini and eggplant. Then adding any type of fresh seafood available like calamari, fish, stuffed squid and white bait. Plus you can’t go past all the homemade pitas, especially the phyllo-wrapped baked feta with honey and sesame seeds. It all makes your tastebuds sing… food glorious food!
