STREETSCAPES // faith and fun

Any form of street art is always a drawcard for me and the different ways people express themselves is so interesting. Styles and techniques can vary but the message they convey gives a viewpoint as well as a gorgeous mural to walk past. Like this serene floral motif with a positive affirmation about personal esteem and self-love. A simple concept that is perfect for this laneway but then you look across the road to more creativity that is just as distinct but in a contrasting way. This building has a quirky recreation of a picture wall with a mix of abstract paintings, festive illustrations and comical pieces. I also like how they’ve incorporated the use of the pipes and wiring on the wall, topped with a cute little bird sitting on the vent. After strolling through this intersection I’m taking away this… have faith in yourself and keep fun in your life.
